  • Website updates (text/images) for English/French FHG sites
  • Website updates (text/images) for Continuum, Excel, and other divisional websites
  • Liaising with web development agencies, troubleshoots technical issues on all corporate websites
  • Makes content updates to Intranet; supports IA and UE for Intranet environment, troubleshoots minor issues and liaises with IT and/or Intranet software provider on larger technical issues
  • Smart Room support: graphics, videos and updates to other content
  • Schedules and provides graphics to enhance Social Media presence (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook); content provided by Marketing team
  • Social Media account maintenance for FHG and divisions; research into new social media platforms
  • Overflow graphic design – both print and digital
  • Assembles and distributes newsletters and other digital communications with support of Marketing team
  • Supports Marketing & Communications initiatives with design input and suggestions for innovation
  • Any other duties as assigned


  • Strong communication skills
  • Bilingual (written/comprehension) at an intermediate level is required; basic oral proficiency in French preferred
  • Advanced writing & editing skills
  • An eye for design and branding; ability to interpret corporate brand guidelines
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and to handle competing priorities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects of varying scales
  • Discretion and good judgment in handling sensitive material and information
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to interpret and incorporate strategic objectives and the Mission, Vision & Values of the organization in projects
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Experience with print and digital graphic design an asset
  • Experience in financial/insurance sectors as asset

Job Knowledge or Work Experience:

  • 2-3 years of experience in graphic design
  • Extensive experience working in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with Drupal, Wordpress and/or other CMS platforms
  • Experience with video production and editing preferred
  • Innovative, responsive, flexible and resilient
  • Familiarity with Journey Sales “Smart Rooms” is a strong asset
  • Bilingual (written/comprehension) an asset


  • 2-3 year degree/diploma in graphic design, or equivalent experience

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  • Working in an office environment
  • Regular working schedule, day shift
  • Occasional lifting required
  • Position based in Kitchener (National Head Office) with minimum travel required
